MOSFET Gate Charge Calculator
Calculate gate drive power, switching time, and current requirements based on MOSFET gate charge specifications.
Input Parameters

Gate Drive Power
50.00 mW
Energy per Cycle
0.500 uJ
Avg Gate Current

Design Notes
Gate drive power P = Qg x Vgs x fsw. Lower Qg reduces switching losses but may increase Rds(on). Ensure your gate driver can supply the peak current of 1000 mA.
Gate Charge Theory
Gate charge (Qg) is the total charge required to switch a MOSFET from off to fully on state. It consists of three components: Qgs (gate-source charge), Qgd (gate-drain or Miller charge), and additional charge to reach the final gate voltage.
Pgate = Qg x Vgs x fsw
