Slater's Shielding Rules
- Electrons in the same (ns, np) group: 0.35 each (0.30 for 1s)
- Electrons in (n-1) shell s and p orbitals: 0.85 each
- Electrons in (n-2) or lower shells: 1.00 each
- Electrons in d and f orbitals: 1.00 (for s,p valence) or 0.35 (for d,f valence)
