About Debye Temperature
The Debye temperature (θD) characterizes the maximum frequency of lattice vibrations (phonons) in a solid. It is defined by: θD = ℏωD/kB, where ωD is the Debye cutoff frequency.
When T >> thetaD, classical behavior dominates (Dulong-Petit law). When T << thetaD, quantum effects become important and specific heat follows T³ law.
