Starter Tips

  • Use equal parts bread flour and whole wheat for best activity
  • Feed at the same time daily for consistency
  • Store in fridge if not baking frequently (feed weekly)
  • Use at peak (doubled, domed top, not yet fallen)
  • Discard can be used for pancakes, crackers, pizza dough
  • Temperature is key - warmer = faster fermentation
