Key Parameters:
- NA = √(n₁² - n₂²) (numerical aperture)

- Single-mode condition: V < 2.405
Typical Values:
- Single-mode: core ~9 μm, NA ~0.12
- Multimode: core 50-62.5 μm, NA ~0.2
