Improving Volumetric Efficiency

  • Intake System: Cold air intake, larger throttle body, ported intake manifold
  • Cylinder Heads: Port and polish, larger valves, better flowing heads
  • Camshaft: More aggressive cam profiles increase peak VE but may narrow powerband
  • Exhaust: Headers, larger exhaust, reduced backpressure
