DMCA Policy

Overview

MyCalcBuddy respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our platform.

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that content available on or through MyCalcBuddy infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written notification (a "DMCA Notice") to our Designated Copyright Agent. Your DMCA Notice must include:

  1. Your signature โ€” A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the work โ€” A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  3. Location of infringing material โ€” Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on our platform (e.g., a specific URL).
  4. Your contact information โ€” Your address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good faith statement โ€” A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy statement โ€” A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

How to Submit

Please send your DMCA Notice to our designated agent via our Contact page. Include "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. We will review all valid notices and respond within 5-10 business days.

Note: Submitting a false DMCA notice is a violation of federal law (17 U.S.C. ยง 512(f)) and may result in civil liability for damages. If you are unsure whether content is infringing your copyright, consult with an attorney before filing a DMCA notice.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to jurisdiction in the federal district court where your address is located.

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, MyCalcBuddy has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our platform at our discretion.
