Understanding Concrete Mix Ratios

What is Mix Ratio?

The mix ratio represents the proportions of cement, sand, and aggregate by volume. For example, 1:2:3 means 1 part cement, 2 parts sand, and 3 parts coarse aggregate.

Choosing the Right Mix

Higher cement content (1:1:2) provides greater strength but costs more. Leaner mixes (1:3:6) are economical for mass concrete where high strength is not critical.
