1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
At MyCalcBuddy, we aim to provide reliable, fast, and mathematically accurate online calculator tools. We continuously review our code, calculations, and written explanations to ensure they reflect standard formulas and industry practices.
Despite our rigorous testing, mistakes, typos, or outdated reference standards can occasionally occur. When errors are identified, we take prompt action to investigate, correct, and update our content transparently.
2. How to Report an Error
We welcome feedback from students, educators, professionals, and visitors. If you notice any error on MyCalcBuddy, please report it via our Contact page.
When reporting a calculation error, please include:
- The URL of the specific calculator page.
- The exact inputs entered into the calculator.
- The result generated by the page vs. the expected mathematically correct result.
- Any supporting reference or standard source (if applicable).
3. Types of Issues We Review and Fix
- Mathematical or Formula Discrepancies: Incorrect formula implementation, rounding errors, or unit conversion inaccuracies.
- Content and Typographical Errors: Misleading step-by-step descriptions, typos, or outdated examples.
- Time-Sensitive Standard Updates: Updates to government tax brackets, financial limits, or health index guidelines.
- Technical and Interface Bugs: Display glitches, broken links, accessibility barriers, or script errors.
4. Our Editorial Correction Workflow
Once an error report is received:
- Our team tests the inputs against reference formulas to verify the discrepancy.
- If a calculation code bug is confirmed, our developers correct the Javascript logic immediately.
- If explanatory text is updated, the "Last Updated" date on the page is refreshed.
- If an issue requires extensive re-auditing, the page may be temporarily updated or noindexed until verification is complete.
