What is Finite Population Correction?
The finite population correction (FPC) factor adjusts standard errors when sampling without replacement from a finite population. As you sample more of the population, there is less variability in your estimates. The FPC reduces the standard error to account for this. It is typically applied when the sample size exceeds 5% of the population.
Formula
FPC = sqrt((N - n) / (N - 1))
